Beachwear!

It’s sooo hot here and I thought I’d take the opportunity to show off some of my fave swimsuits and bikinies  - for me to cool down and hopefully you to heat up lol. Some are new and some are classics but get a new life with new styling, so please enjoy. The suit in the pic above is from Angel Dessosus, a beautiful leopard print retro swimsuit with the classic low leg cut and belt. One of my fave suits, my love for animal print is well known.

Hair: Lelutka Skin: Dutch Touch Jewellery: deiTY Henna tattos: HUZ tattoo Pose: Miamai

Another of Angel Dessosus’ 2011 releases – what is known as a monokini – a classic 70ties hit that’s become ultra popular again. I fell in love with the monokini as a little girl when i saw photos of Raquel Welch sporting some of these and this yellow and olive model with sprakle prints is perfect for a deep summer tan.

Hair: Donna Flora Skin: Glance Earrings: deiTY Nails: PixelFashion Pose: Miamai Baskets on the ground are mystery hunt items from Captain’s Quarters (*chanimations.

From left: Another monokini, this one from Bijou in gold with bandau top and lowcut 70-ties bottoms. Next is an 80-ties swimsuit, also from Bijou – cut classically high on the hip, with a sexy plunging neckline and wide belt with huge gold buckle. Trashionistas everywhere would love to pair this with high heels and flashy designer bag – I have chosen to flash my tattos and pale complexion and a mane of wild raven hair – who says you gotta be tanned to look good on the beach? I was unable to tp to Bijou while writing this – if you cannot find Bijou, just use the photos as an inspiration, theres so many awsome swimsuits of this type around and I’m sure you will find one that just screams “you” someplace.  Last pic is a classic bikini from Zaara – in beautiful golden colours, the texture reminding me of asian batik – so simple and so sexy.

I kinda fell for this goth girl look for the beach, it’s so unusual and striking – I just got to remember to bring my sunlotion with total sunblock so I can stay this pale all summer long. The gold bikini with wicked cutouts  is a vintage piece from Bijou which sadly just as i was posting this was unable to reach the store for a SLURL.

These last two swimsuits are two of my favourites, I love pinupgirl fashion and I think these two capture the essence of the fifties perfectly, each in it’s own way. On the left “Sabina” – artilleri’s polkadot number comes in a variety of colour combinations, has a nice halter style tie top and ruched panel at the front. To the right is “Marylin” which is an Angel Dessous vintage style strapless one-piece with cute ribbon details on the hips. Kinda reminds me of the swimsuit worn by the leading lady in the old B-movie “Creature From The Black Lagoon” –  so perfect for a pale innocence like me lol. Have you got a favourie swimsuit or bikini? Would LOVE to see them – happy summer and stay cool!

Fashion Mystery!

It may not be Halloween (yet! lol) but the (*chanimations sim is truly haunted – but in a good way! There’s someone who takes yummy outfits from the stores and hides them around in the most obscure places all over this charming sim. There’s several designer stores located here, connoseurs of everything vintage will know that these are some of the premium stores for burlesque or pinup oriented styles. There’s (*chanimations mainstore mainstore that extends through a vintage theatre, with a backstage and attached cabaret stage area and a dungeon full of goodies, clothes, poses and props. Then in the park is the circus and next door showgirl boutique deviousMind- all awsome places where you can enjoy exploring, playing with poses and hunt for free items of very high quality!! One of them is the outfit you see here that you can find hidden in scrumptious little candy apples that are strewn all over the place.

Picture above: Hair: Amacci Skin: Redgrave Lashes and makeup: Tableau Vivant

As you can see the oufit can be worn in several combinations and comes with an ornate tophat that has Dita von Teese written all over it – so pretty! These lovely items are designed by the talented Chandra Meehan and it’s so lovely to see people actually donate such high quality work for a hunt. So if you’re a bit of a glamour puss like me – this hunt is well worth your time, the cool Fedora hat,  the long elegant cigarette holder for decadent old school glam – (just pretend its made of chocholate) and poses to match are among the hidden treasures and yummy gift items that you can play with in your photographs.  You can find all the rules for the Mystery Hunt in the stores and on their Devious website – it’s really worth your time and effort.

Picture above and below are styled with: Hair piece: Amacci Skin: Redgrave Lashes and makeup: Tableau Vivant Shoes with leggings: PixelFashion

The second designer here is Elise Capalini, fashions female Willie Wonka lol. Elise makes everything yummy in her store that bears the beautiful name Cupcakes & Poetry. She’s designed some yummy cupcakes PLUS the hats below – ever seen fashion that looks more mouth watering? Gives me chocholate cravings every time i look at them lol – i want to eat my hats! Both cakes, and all the 3 hats can be yours for free now if you hop on the mystery hunt!

If you’re looking for some cool beach items Captain’s Quarters has several items in the Mystery Hunt as well, like this awsome moroccan cushion, romantic and colourful lantern and wicker baskets – perfect pieces for your private beach or kasbah. The items are designed by Nathalia Parisi, you should take time and explore her  shop while on the sim, she has so many cool prefab houses as well if you’re keen on a new home. I am wearing: Skin: Dutch Touch, Hair: artilleri Shoes: Lelutka Pinup panties and bustier: deviousBeauty. NB! The styling items (skin, shoes, hair etc are not part of the hunt)

Happy hunting!

Champagne IS Smart

Burly is stylin’ in Champagnes “Smart” outfit. Check it out…

It starts with the jacket, in this case a nice milk chocolate brown with contrasting gold trim around every edge…sleeves, lapel, collar. The jacket has an “up” and a prim skirt “down” with prim sleeves as well.

You will see the “stole” which is draped around the neck and falls down on the jacket just inside the jacket line. A very nice touch which lends elegance to the design. The stole has gold icons on the body and nice end pieces made of golden string tassels.

The pants fit well and have two layers, the underwear for boots is worn, and there is a pants layer for shoes.

Go on down to Champagnes for a few holiday outfits, you will be noticed! HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU ALL!

B!Fashion new releases!

I have the great pleasure to show you all this wonderful new dress from B!Fashion. This dress, called Audace, is very pretty and perfect for those occasions where you just want to stand out. The whole dress I made of a very sensual black lace. It’s not like some of the other lace dresses out there in sl where you see more of someone than you want to. It is very classic all the right things are covered.

Audace comes with several things. You get this very gorgeous hat as well as the gloves. The hat is very fun it has almost a teardrop shape and is made out of the same material as the dress and gloves.  Now the dress is a knee length skirt so you can pair it with any shoe you can think of. I decided to go with a pair of red gladiator sandals to give it a little contrast from the all black of the dress but really you could put any color. Right now plums are very in and would look stunning at a formal gala or to go out dancing in. The possibilities are truly endless and anything would look fantastic.

Glam Rock Style from Bliss Couture!

First thing I did after trying on the new Sharlot outfit from Bliss Couture was to turn up my itunes real loud with some classic David Bowie.  Sharlot is Glam Rock gorgeous outfit that is perfect for any fashionista event or hot club new opening.  I wanted to create a look that presented itself as a modern glam rock diva!

Designer Amutey DeCuir always knows how to create an outfit that turns heads and Sharlot will definitely do that.  This is a one piece sequined jumpsuit that has flared cuffed pant finish and bra-style top.   To compliment the outfit is a fur wrap stole that creates a total glamizon look. I had the chance to try on both the orginial Sharlot outfit, which comes with silver, blue & gold sequins and also the Silver Sharlot which was made with Silver & Grey Sequins.

I wanted to create a really glam look with this outfit so I started with really heavy eye makeup using Sawode’s Mystic SunKissed Skin Makeup 2 – the heavy duty eyes with pale lipstick brought a real 70’s glam look to this modern outfit.  Add a pair of eyelashes, like Redgrave #11 Showgirl eyelashes to really enhance the eyes!  I think took my copper hair and piled it high on top of my head (and added sunstreak highlights) with Uncleweb’s Hinata Hair in Evening Sun.  I added a pair of Stiletto Moody’s Glam Booties in Silver – just a hint of platform to really tie into the outfit.  Now with all these sequins you don’t want to overdo on the jewelry so I wore a big ring from J and W Jewelers’ – part of the Ice Queens Desire collection.

Bring out your inner Glam Queen with Sharlot!

Just Imagine…An outfit that is beautiful and versatile!!

Just Imagine…what a perfect name for a store!  Just imagine buying an outfit that is both beautiful AND versatile.  Just imagine not having to search forever to find shoes that match perfectly.  Just imagine being able to find amazing jewelry in that same store and just imagine if that Jewelry was designed so you had options on where to attach it so it’s easy to wear with just any outfit.  Well the store name is just that – Just Imagine… and designer Vita Theas has created some wonderful outfits and beautiful jewelry to fit any occasion.

Today I got to style a beautiful outfit by Ms Theas – Roxie.  Roxie is a beautiful gown with a Silver brocade style top with matching Periwinkle blue long silk skirt.  The top is styled with short leaves and a square cut neckline that is great for showing off your favorite jewelry. To tie this outfit together is a wrapped cumberbund with matching bow.  I love the movement created in this skirt – when dancing you’ll see it flow all around you making this dress just a lovely creation.

But one thing I love the best about this outfit is the fact that I don’t just get this one lovely gown, but actually four wonderful looks created by Ms. Theas.  Along with the Silver Top and Periwinkle Blue Skirt gown I can wear it with 3 additional looks – I can remove the gown skirt and have a fashionable pants outfit.  Also included is a matching silver gown skirt and matching silver pants.  And no need to go shopping for matching shoes, this gown includes a pair of perfect silver pumps that go great with both gowns and pants outfits.

A outfit like this with the square cut neckline needs the right type of jewelry and I don’t need to travel any further than Just Imagine…  I matched the Roxie dress with Just Imagine… Ciarra Gold & Silver Jewelry set.  This is a silver set with intertwined gold with Silver textured pearls spaced just perfectly.   For me, I always found it a pain that when styling necklaces not only do I have to worry if it matches but if it attaches at the same place as an attachment with the clothing I am wearing.  Ms. Theas solves that issue by providing 2 necklaces with the set – one that attaches to the chest and the other to the spine.  Now I just pick the best fit and I’m good to go.

To complete my look I wanted a modern but sultry look and started with *OC* Demetra – smoky I skin from ORAGE Creation.  The heavy made-up eyes with pink lipstick gave this beautiful dress an elegant look.  I added extra *oomph* to the eyes with Redgrave’s Rendezvous Eyelashes.  Finally I found an elegant updo with  W&Y’s New84 “Type A style in Choco.
