Readheads Rock

Posted in Reviews on July 29th, 2010 by dancerdallagio

Don’t rock the boat, unless you are a rocking red.   Baiastice has just released their new Pulchra Skins with hair bases (also packaged without hair) in glorious red.  Combined with the new Hair attachments,  it’s a great day to be in the minority of the population (go Irish).

The above 6 make ups are part of the 30 available (also sold in three small and one large fatpack for 50% discount); the hair base versions are shown along with the Donatella Hair Attachment in Red (porcelaine); each Hair Attachment is matched to one of the 6 skin tones available.

The above make ups are shown with the Boop Hair Attachment in Red (porcelaine).

(Please be sure to click on the photos to see them larger)

Just 3 of the  more heavily made up choices are shown above with the Malvi Hair Attachment (it reminds me of a bow and also has a bit of a ponytail).

A big thank you to Baiastice for remembering the redheads of the virtual world!

B&W Summer Delight

Posted in Reviews on June 18th, 2010 by dancerdallagio

It’s definitely summer here, so I’m looking for something easy, breezy, and cool to wear. Luckily for me, Baiastice has been busily designing great items to make my life so much easier. Sissy Pessoa also knows how to do it up in style and there is nothing more classic than black and white.

The Berchida swimsuits, pants, and top are just the thing for a hot summer day into afternoon. I love fatpacks and the versatility they provide. Here I wear the white bathing suit top and bottom combined with the black pants. I love how the fabric almost has a subtle glitter-like texture that catches the eye yet isn’t too much. The back and side bathing suit ties are well crafted and add the attention to detail for which Baiastice is known.

Since it’s summer, a girl really needs fresh, new shoes! These Camilla wedges are unlike anything else I’ve seen, and are classic with a twist. The buttons and strass on the sides and back of the wedge really give these shoes pizazz. Once again, you can’t go wrong with the fatpack with the great summer colours.

Accessorizing the outfit are the [MANDALA] Kagetora Necklace in Black. These are so great for the many options available in the pack (2 attachment choices, shadow and bright on/off, and resize) and they also come in a male version. The +Rozoregalia+ Nornir Earrings and Belial Bangle are equally versatile, providing 3 styles in one pack. Great hair from Tukinowaguma (Maison Ash, tinted) and I’ ready to go.

I’m just crazy about summer…pardon me whilst I go check out the pool; I leave you with a photo of all the wonderful colours for these shoes.  Enjoy!

Wet ‘n Wild: MIDI Paints the Beach

Posted in Opium Insight, Reviews on June 8th, 2010 by dancerdallagio

MIDI’s Wet Paint Tonga is perfect for summer, which feels like it has arrived in many parts of the world. Hummie and I took a chance on catching some seaspray at the beach in this multi-option swimwear. The suit comes with ties on the side, at the back, and even a great bit of fun metallic “paint” dripping in the middle of the top. The fun belly piercing is included, too. Options are fantastic.

LionSkins soon-to-be premiered NOVA skin is shown here in Sun with a delicious wrapping of lace all the way around the head; no longer must we be content with just a face mask of lace. The ponytail by Vanity Hair really keeps the beach look going strong, with no heavy do’s to ruin in the waves.

For a shot of great colour, the plus Red Bangles and Creamshop Glam earrings have me seeing red all over, from lipstick, lace, and hummie’s throat. Nobody said pets aren’t allowed on the beach, right? [MANDALA]‘s Lotus Chain Bracelet and Hand ring are fab with the Tonga’s chains, and the Stiletto Moody Bare Fay (Red/Grey) make sure I step out onto the sand in style. Surely you don’t think I ever take off my shoes?

Wild Thing

Posted in Reviews on May 29th, 2010 by dancerdallagio

*Deviant Designs* presents the Adagio Dress, for when you are feeling just a little (or a lot) wild. The shine on this perky little latex dress will really get you in the mood for naughty fun, while the lace-look latex top adds a little bit of nice (not too much, as it’s also a little bit see through).

To help bring out the wild side in you, Tukinowaguma’s Arashi SP Hair will really do the trick. The hair frames the face with edgy bangs, while the tresses flow out far and long. This hair (shown in the Ash pack) is colour changeable via touch menu into over 100 shades, and contains removable resize scripts, as well as being modifiable. This hair is almost too fun and it’s fabulous!

Accenting the outfit, to bring a dose of pizaaz is jewelry by [MANDALA]. The AMIDA necklace in Blue comes with or without shadow and bright, as well as two attachment options. It also contains removable resize scripts and is stunning in Sky blue to match the AMIDA earrings, which also have the option for bright.

The bangles are [MANDALA] Takara Bangle Blue Stone (right and left side, bright option, resize) and the Takara Bangle Blue Leather (part of a set of the Bangle/Blue Fur, Leather, Nail & Ring). The nails and rings are also from the latter set. You really do get a ton of great options from [MANDALA] as well as stunning, superbly crafted jewelry.

The shoes are some of the new Stiletto Moody Bare Bette (Wild Set), which contains gorgeous pythons, new camos duo colours, and the fun kaleidoscope pattern.

Let loose and get your wild on today!

Mea Culpa steps on the scene of SL fashion world with a vengeance setting the runway afire with impeccably creative, and body flattering designs; leaving our minds spell-bound in a fantastical dream world.

The fits are stunning to say the least and each has a story to tell. The item you see styled here named imaginatively so, Here Comes the Sun.

Covering just enough of the body to leave you guessing and made up of primarily attachments, it includes the headpiece and cape attachments.

The celestial fit flows effortlessly with each movement and embraces the loveliest qualities of the life-sustaining star. Mea Culpa designs are new to SL, but have the design quality of a pro by taking avant-garde to another level. Bring it on Mea Culpa, we want more; make us fierce.
