New from Nikita

The other day i was sent a folder of goodies designed by Nikita Fride Designer. Now in that folder was a nice selection of her new skins, hair and of course clothing. She certainly has been busy.

The hair above is [Nikita] Cute & NightOwl Hair on the left is [NikitaFride] Bright Cute Hair – Blackout and the right is [NikitaFride] Bright Night Owl Hair – Chantilly. you do have the option to wear the bright or cute version of the hair. The clothes are the new [NikitaFride] November Rain Outfit which has a selection of jumper sets in colours ranging from pink to green. You can 8 colours to choose from and you get a pair of black trousers and jacket. The skin is the new [NikitaFride] Snow Skins which comes in natural and red lips.

Making a girls dream come true – Alice in Wonderland by Wishbox

A dream that many girls have inside maybe…one day being “Alice in Wonderland”… Wishbox made this dream come true in SL :)

Wisp Jinn, designer of Wishbox designs fantasy clothing for the dreamy, enchanted moments of life. This short dress is one example… A wonderful interpretation of the “Alice in Wonderland” outfit. Every little detail is made with love.. take a look at the skirt, the little pockets on the apron are filled with so amazing accessories like the key or the watch or all the wonderful little items. As a special Wishbox included one skirt version with empty pockets where you can add your own items :) The sweet knee socks are also part of the outfit. The shoulders are decorated with 2 little shoulder attachments that repeat the color of the skirt. At the top you can see again the eye for the detail of Wisp Jinn, if you take a closer look on the sweet teal ornament that decorates the belly.

:: T HE  P U R P O S E ::
The purpose of this fair is twofold… firstly, FASHION. Who doesn’t love a good fashion event? Brand new items, some at discount rates, all in one glorious place. Lovely. Secondly though, there will be information about all sorts of mental health issues and illnesses throughout the venue. Mostly these will be visual aids around the precious couture so that people don’t have to read huge chunks of text. The main purpose of the fair is to de-stigmatise mental health issues. A lot of people in Second Life have unhappy “real lives”… for whatever reason. Some of us are unwell, disabled, depressed and other people are just lonely or don’t like who they think they are; but no one is alone and in SL we can be ourselves. So don’t let it beat you black and blue… couture can help!

Filthy Gorgeous is just gorgeous, ok maybe a lil’ filthy, heh..

I am very pleased to introduce a new design team to the blog, and this is a direct quote from their notecard…”Toni Friller and Adaarye Shikami: Two Fashionistas with far too much time on our hands, who’s real life partnership coupled with Second Life has birthed the love child, Filthy Gorgeous.” They obviously have talent and flair, as well as a sense of humor and I am happy to show you some of their wonderful creations today…..

Below I am in Filthy Gorgeous ~ Filthy Fae Believe Dream Guardian Dohi skin…it’s ethereal and gorgeous and so different!

The shading and contours of the skin are perfect, making you look heavenly and delicious.

Filthy Fae Believe Dream Guardian Dohi skin comes in 4 options…..shaven, french shave, strip and shaven with under eye tattoo, and come both with or without cleavage option. These are really pretty, dreamy skins. Below I have Filthy Feather Lashes on.

They also have mouth buds, which I paired with the skin, these are just way too cool and I love that they come in different colors, and who doesn’t love to have a rose bud in their mouth?

Shown below are the Filthy Lashes Gems, their lashes have a Lash HUD and you can make their  lashes literally ANY color you want to. How cool is that?

The Filthy Lashes also come with or without built-in soft face light.

Spotlight on SL Top Designers

Hey everyone, Jon here.  Let me take you on a little journey for what will be te first of many reviews that I’ll be telling you all in ye land of Opium…or sim in this case.  For this review, we’ll be giving a nod to the designers at House of RFyre (!RFyre – Gothic Couture Clothing) by reviewing their Cavalier series.

This outfit doesn’t typecast itself as your average gothic outfit, the designers go out of their way to promote a taste of uniqueness while maintaining a gothic tradition.  Simplicity is the key as this outfit could be worn in two unique ways…with or without a long-flowing leathery-silk cape that cascades with every step.

The hue in this outfit is a nice mix of noir as it makes every inch if leather stand out from the top of the waist to the tightly woven wires that gives the boots a secure fit (not to mention the sense of danger aesthetically).  Designer, Raven Pennyfeather, gives character to this outfit by giving it a horizontal hatch design that encapsulates the entire outfit for all to notice.

The outfit itself can make the imagination wild…in one world, you could be a dark latin gentleman, a gothic caballero, a sinister of the noir arts with a sense of charm.  In another world, you’re a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate…a V, carrying out a new vendetta with veracity and valor.

So stand out amongst the rest, create a gothic legacy, and be a lord amongst men.  Swing on to the House of RFyre Mainstore will you?
